Simple Manicotti Recipe
Looking for a quick and delicious dinner? Try this easy manicotti recipe that's sure to become a family favorite, perfect for busy weeknights!
Ingredients:
- 1 box of manicotti shells
- 500g (about 2 cups) ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the manicotti shells according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into a large resealable plastic bag or a pastry bag.
- Carefully fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture, using the bag to pipe it in if available.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Place the stuffed manicotti shells in the dish.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the manicotti, ensuring they are well-covered.
- Sprinkle additional mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
