  • 1 box of manicotti shells
  • 500g (about 2 cups) ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the manicotti shells according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into a large resealable plastic bag or a pastry bag.
  5. Carefully fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture, using the bag to pipe it in if available.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Place the stuffed manicotti shells in the dish.
  7. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the manicotti, ensuring they are well-covered.
  8. Sprinkle additional mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
