Ingredients:

  • For the Dough:
    • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
    • 1 cup warm milk
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 tablespoons finely ground coffee

  • For the Filling:
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 2 tablespoons finely ground coffee
    • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Mocha Glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 2 tablespoons brewed espresso
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cooking Steps:

  1. In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, softened butter, salt, flour, and ground coffee. Pour in the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to rise in a covered bowl until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Brush melted butter over the surface.
  5. Mix brown sugar, ground coffee, and cinnamon for the filling. Sprinkle evenly over the dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into even slices.
  7. Place the slices in a greased baking dish, allowing them to rise again.
  8. Bake until golden brown.
  9. For the mocha glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, brewed espresso, and vanilla extract. Drizzle over the warm rolls.
