Rare Mutton Gravy and Spicy North Indian Mutton
Ingredients:
- 500g mutton, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 green cardamom pods
- 4 cloves
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Cooking Steps:
Step 1: Marinate Mutton In a bowl, marinate mutton pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
Step 2: Sauté Onions In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat cooking oil. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, green cardamom pods, and cloves. Sauté until aromatic. Add finely chopped onions and cook until golden brown.

Step 5: Slow Cook Cover the pan and let the mutton cook on low heat until it becomes tender. Ensure the gravy thickens to your liking.
