Ingredients:

For Veg Manchurian Balls:

  1. Finely chopped cabbage (1 cup)
  2. Grated carrot (1/2 cup)
  3. Chopped beans (1/4 cup)
  4. Chopped bell peppers (1/4 cup)
  5. All-purpose flour (1/4 cup)
  6. Cornflour (2 tablespoons)
  7. Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
  8. Ginger-garlic paste (1 teaspoon)
  9. Salt and pepper to taste
  10. Oil for frying

For Manchurian Sauce:

  1. Finely chopped garlic (1 tablespoon)
  2. Finely chopped ginger (1 tablespoon)
  3. Chopped green chilies (2 teaspoons)
  4. Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
  5. Chili sauce (1 tablespoon)
  6. Tomato ketchup (2 tablespoons)
  7. Cornflour slurry (1 tablespoon cornflour mixed with 3 tablespoons water)
  8. Spring onions for garnish

Cooking Steps:

Step 1: Veg Manchurian Balls

  • In a bowl, combine chopped cabbage, grated carrot, chopped beans, bell peppers, all-purpose flour, cornflour, soy sauce, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and pepper.
  • Shape the mixture into small balls.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the balls until golden brown. Set aside.

Step 2: Manchurian Sauce

  • In a separate pan, sauté chopped garlic, chopped ginger, and green chilies.
  • Add soy sauce, chili sauce, and tomato ketchup. Stir well.
  • Pour in the cornflour slurry to thicken the sauce.
  • Add the fried Veg Manchurian balls to the sauce and coat them evenly.

Step 3: Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with chopped spring onions.
  • Serve Veg Manchurian hot as a delightful appetizer or pair it with fried rice for a complete meal experience.
