Tiger Face Cake

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  1. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 1/2 cups sugar
  3. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  4. 4 large eggs
  5. 1 cup milk
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  9. Orange and black food coloring

For the Frosting:

  1. 2 cups whipped cream or buttercream
  2. Additional food coloring for decorating

Steps:

Step 1: Prepare the Batter

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  • In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Divide the batter into two portions. Color one portion orange and the other black.

Step 2: Create the Tiger Pattern

  • Spoon alternating dollops of orange and black batter into the prepared cake pans. Use a toothpick to create swirls for the tiger pattern.

Step 3: Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow the cakes to cool completely.

Step 4: Frosting

  • Prepare whipped cream or buttercream frosting.
  • Frost the top of one cake layer and place the second layer on top.

Step 5: Decorate

  • Decorate the top of the cake to resemble a tiger face using additional food coloring and frosting.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!
