Ingredients:

For the Turkey Parmesan Meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil for cooking

For the Marinara Sauce:

  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 2: Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

Step 3: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through.

Step 4: In a separate saucepan, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic in olive oil until softened. Add crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Step 5: Place the cooked meatballs into the marinara sauce, coating them evenly. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
