Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed if frozen
- 2 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Steps:
- Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the puff pastry package instructions.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg if using. Sauté until the apples are tender and caramelized. Set aside to cool.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any seams.
- Using a round cutter or a glass, cut out circles from the puff pastry sheet.
