Til Ke Laddu

Til Ke Laddu

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sesame seeds (til)
  • 1 cup jaggery, grated
  • 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts (optional, for garnish)

Steps:

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and dry roast the sesame seeds until they become golden brown and release a nutty aroma. Ensure not to burn them. Set aside to cool.
  2. In the same pan, add ghee and grated jaggery. Stir continuously over low heat until the jaggery melts and forms a syrup. Cook for a few more minutes until the syrup thickens slightly.
  3. Add the roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder to the jaggery syrup. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly, so it's comfortable to handle.
  5. Grease your palms with a little ghee to prevent sticking, then take small portions of the mixture and shape them into laddus (round balls).
  6. Optionally, garnish the laddus with chopped nuts like almonds or cashews.
  7. Allow the Til Ke Laddu to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

Enjoy these Til Ke Laddus as a traditional and nutritious sweet during festive occasions or as a delightful snack to satisfy your sweet cravings.
