Afghani Tangdi Kebab

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges for garnish

Steps:

Step 1: Clean and make deep slits in the chicken drumsticks.

Step 2: In a bowl, mix yogurt, cream, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, ground coriander, ground cumin, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and vegetable oil to form the marinade.

Step 3: Coat the chicken drumsticks with the marinade, ensuring it gets into the slits. Marinate for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

Step 4: Preheat your grill or oven to a medium-high temperature.

Step 5: Thread the marinated chicken drumsticks onto skewers.

Step 6: Grill the drumsticks, turning occasionally, until they are charred and cooked through. This should take about 20-25 minutes.
