Instant Rava Idli Recipe in 15 Mins

Ingredients:

  1. Semolina (Rava) - 1 cup
  2. Yogurt - 1 cup
  3. Water - 1/2 cup
  4. Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Urad dal (split black gram) - 1 teaspoon
  6. Curry leaves - 6-8 leaves, finely chopped
  7. Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Oil - 1 tablespoon
  10. Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons

Steps:

Step 1: Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Sauté until mustard seeds splutter.
Step 2: Add semolina to the pan and roast until it turns golden and aromatic.

Step 3: In a bowl, mix the roasted semolina with yogurt, water, baking soda, and salt. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Grease the idli molds with oil.

Step 5: Pour the batter into the molds and steam for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 6: Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Step 7: Allow idlis to cool slightly before demolding. Serve with coconut chutney or your favorite accompaniment. Enjoy these quick and delightful instant rava idlis!
