Ingredients:

  • Fresh eggs
  • Butter or cooking oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Steps:

Step 1: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Add a small amount of butter or cooking oil, ensuring it coats the surface evenly.

Step 2: Crack the eggs into a bowl, being careful not to break the yolks.

Step 3: Once the butter or oil is hot and shimmering, carefully slide the eggs into the skillet.

Step 4: Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for a minute or two until the edges are set but the yolks are still runny.

Step 5: If desired, spoon some of the hot butter or oil over the egg whites to help them set without flipping.

Step 6: Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 7: For over-easy or over-medium eggs, carefully flip the eggs with a spatula and cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Step 8: Once cooked to your liking, gently transfer the eggs to a plate.
