Best Bean Dip
Here's a simple and delicious recipe for what many consider to be the best bean dip:
Ingredients:
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup salsa (choose your preferred level of spiciness)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a food processor, combine the black beans, pinto beans, salsa, shredded cheese, ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pulse the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency. You can go for a smooth dip or leave it slightly chunky.
- Transfer the bean dip to a serving bowl.
