10 Min. Pyaz Paratha

Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- Water (as needed)
- Salt (to taste)
For the filling:
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt (to taste)
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)
- Ghee or oil for cooking
Steps:
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, and water to form a smooth and elastic dough. Cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: Meanwhile, prepare the filling by mixing chopped onions, green chilies, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, and fresh coriander leaves in a bowl.
Step 3: Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Step 4: Take a dough ball, flatten it, and place a portion of the onion filling in the center. Seal the edges and roll it out into a paratha.
Step 5: Heat a griddle or pan over medium heat. Cook each paratha with ghee or oil until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
Step 6: Repeat the process for the remaining dough portions.
