Easy Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup (about 225g) chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (dark, semi-sweet, or milk chocolate, based on preference)
  2. 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream

Steps:

Step 1: Place the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.

Step 2: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just starts to simmer. Be careful not to let it boil.

Step 3: Pour the hot cream over the chocolate in the bowl. Let it sit for a minute to allow the heat to melt the chocolate.

Step 4: Gently stir the mixture with a spatula or whisk until the chocolate is completely melted and the ganache is smooth and glossy.

Step 5: Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using it. If you want a thicker consistency, let it cool for a bit longer.

Step 6: Pour or spread the chocolate ganache over your cake, cupcakes, or dessert of choice. It can be used as a glaze, frosting, or filling.
