Ingredients:

  1. Almonds (1 cup, finely chopped)
  2. Candied fruits (1/2 cup, finely chopped)
  3. All-purpose flour (2 tablespoons)
  4. Unsalted butter (1/2 cup)
  5. Granulated sugar (1/2 cup)
  6. Heavy cream (2 tablespoons)
  7. Honey (2 tablespoons)
  8. Orange zest (1 teaspoon)
  9. Dark chocolate (1 cup, for melting)

Preparation Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar, heavy cream, and honey. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped almonds, candied fruits, all-purpose flour, and orange zest.
  4. Drop small portions of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each for spreading.
  5. Flatten each portion with the back of a spoon to form thin rounds.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave.
  9. Dip the bottom of each cooled cookie into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, and place them on parchment paper.
  10. Let the chocolate set completely before serving or storing.
