Delicious Chilli Mushroom
Ingredients:
- Mushrooms (250g, cleaned and sliced)
- Bell peppers (2, sliced)
- Onion (1 large, sliced)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Ginger (1-inch piece, grated)
- Green chilies (2-3, finely chopped)
- Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Tomato ketchup (2 tablespoons)
- Red chili sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Green chili sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Cornstarch (2 tablespoons, mixed with water to form a slurry)
- Spring onions (for garnish)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Oil (2-3 tablespoons)
Preparation Steps:
- Heat oil in a wok or pan. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add sliced onions and cook until they become translucent.
- Toss in sliced mushrooms and bell peppers. Stir-fry until the vegetables are slightly tender.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, and green chili sauce.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the vegetables. Stir well to coat.
- Season with salt and black pepper according to taste.
- Add the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
- Once the sauce thickens and coats the mushrooms and vegetables, remove from heat.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions.
Serve Chilli Mushroom hot as an appetizer or pair it with steamed rice or noodles for a delightful main course.
