Delicious Homemade Tonkatsu Sauce

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a bowl, whisk together ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic (if using), and grated ginger (if using).
- Mix Well:
- Stir the ingredients until well combined, ensuring that the sugar dissolves completely.
- Adjust Taste:
- Taste the sauce and adjust the ingredients to your liking. Add more sugar if you prefer it sweeter or more soy sauce for saltiness.
- Let it Rest:
- Allow the sauce to rest for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Serve:
- Once the Tonkatsu sauce is ready, use it as a dipping sauce for your favorite breaded and fried dishes, such as Tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) or Chicken Katsu.
