Miniature Besan Ladoo

Miniature Besan Ladoo

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a non-stick pan, heat ghee over medium-low heat.
  2. Add besan to the pan and roast it on low to medium heat, stirring continuously to avoid burning. Roast until it turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma. This might take about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Once the besan is roasted, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Gradually add powdered sugar to the roasted besan and mix well.
  5. Add cardamom powder to the mixture for additional flavor. You can also add chopped nuts at this stage if desired.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool further until it's comfortable to touch.
  7. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into tiny ladoos or balls. Press firmly to ensure they hold their shape.
  8. If the mixture is too dry to form ladoos, you can add a bit more melted ghee to bind it.
  9. Garnish the miniature besan ladoos with chopped nuts if you haven't added them earlier.
  10. Let the ladoos cool completely before serving.
  11. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Enjoy these miniature besan ladoos as a sweet treat or share them during festive occasions!
