Favorite Focaccia
Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Toppings of your choice (e.g., rosemary, olives, cherry tomatoes)

Instructions
Step 1: In a bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water and add yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture.
Step 3: Gradually mix in flour, then knead the dough until smooth. Cover and let it rise until doubled in size.
Step 4: Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet.
Step 5: Stretch the dough to fit the pan. Use your fingertips to create dimples on the surface.
Step 6: Drizzle olive oil over the dough and add your preferred toppings.
Step 7: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool before slicing and serving. Enjoy your homemade focaccia!
