Amazing Chocolate Cake Decorating

Ingredients:
- 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa powder.
- Add sugar, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
- Gradually add boiling water to the batter, mixing well. The batter will be thin, but that's okay.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cakes are completely cooled, you can frost and decorate them as desired.
Optional Frosting:
- Chocolate Ganache:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions for Chocolate Ganache:
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for a minute to melt.
- Stir the ganache until smooth and glossy.
- Allow the ganache to cool slightly before pouring it over the cooled chocolate cake.
Enjoy this classic Chocolate Cake either on its own or with your favorite frosting for a delightful and indulgent treat!
