Crispy Lays Fried Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups plain potato chips (Lays or any preferred brand), crushed
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions:
- Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine the crushed potato chips, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, covering it completely.
- Roll the chicken in the crushed potato chip mixture, pressing the chips onto the chicken to adhere.
- Carefully place the coated chicken breasts into the preheated oil.
- Fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Once the chicken is crispy and cooked, remove it from the oil and place it on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
- Let the Crispy Lays Fried Chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
