Crispy Lays Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups plain potato chips (Lays or any preferred brand), crushed
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the crushed potato chips, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, covering it completely.
  5. Roll the chicken in the crushed potato chip mixture, pressing the chips onto the chicken to adhere.
  6. Carefully place the coated chicken breasts into the preheated oil.
  7. Fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Once the chicken is crispy and cooked, remove it from the oil and place it on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
  9. Let the Crispy Lays Fried Chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
