Moon & Teddy Bear Cake

Ingredients:
For the Cake:
- Your favorite cake batter (vanilla, chocolate, or any flavor of your choice)
- Ingredients required for the cake batter (as per the recipe)
For the Frosting:
- Buttercream frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- Food coloring (blue or black for the sky, various colors for decoration)
For Decoration:
- Fondant (blue for the sky, white for the moon, and various colors for the teddy bear)
- Edible gold or silver stars (optional)
- Edible glitter (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare your favorite cake batter according to the recipe.
- Divide the batter into two portions. Add food coloring to one portion to create a dark blue or black color for the sky.
- Bake the cakes in round pans according to the instructions. Let them cool completely.
- Trim the tops of the cakes to create an even surface.
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of buttercream frosting on top.
- Stack the second cake layer on top and cover the entire cake with a thin layer of frosting, creating a crumb coat. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Apply a second layer of frosting to the cake, smoothing it out for a neat finish.
- Roll out blue fondant and cover the sides of the cake to represent the night sky.
- Roll out white fondant and cut out a crescent moon shape. Place it on the top of the cake.
- Mold various colors of fondant to create a cute teddy bear. Place the teddy bear on the cake, sitting under the moon.
- Optionally, add edible gold or silver stars and edible glitter for a magical touch.
- Store the Moon & Teddy Bear Cake in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
