Cabbage Paratha on the Breakfast


For Dough:

  1. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. Water for kneading
  3. Salt to taste

For Filling:

  1. 2 cups finely shredded cabbage
  2. 1 small onion, finely chopped
  3. 1 green chili, finely chopped
  4. 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  5. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)


Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, and gradually add water to form a soft dough. Set aside.

Step 2: In another bowl, mix shredded cabbage, chopped onion, green chili, grated ginger, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt to create the filling.

Step 3: Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a ball.

Step 4: Roll out a dough ball into a small circle and place a portion of the cabbage filling in the center.

Step 5: Bring the edges of the dough together, sealing the filling inside. Flatten and roll out again to form a paratha.

Step 6: Heat a griddle or pan and cook the paratha on both sides until golden brown, applying ghee or oil as desired.

Step 7: Repeat for the remaining dough and filling.

Step 8: Garnish with chopped coriander leaves if desired.

Serve the hot and flavorful Cabbage Paratha with yogurt, pickles, or your favorite chutney for a delightful meal.
