Ingredients

  1. 6 slices of bread
  2. 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  3. 2 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  4. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  5. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil for frying

Steps

Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine besan, mashed potatoes, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to form a thick batter.

Step 2: Trim the edges of the bread slices and dip each slice into the besan and potato batter, ensuring even coating.

Step 3: Heat oil in a pan for frying.

Step 4: Fry the besan-coated bread slices until golden brown and crispy. Ensure the bread is cooked and the besan coating is crisp.

Step 5: Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Step 6: Cut the fried bread into bite-sized pieces and serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
