Homemade Marzipan: The Mix for Your Christmas Sweets

Ingredients

  • 250g peeled almonds
  • 100g sugar
  • 20g honey
  • 30ml water
  • Powdered sugar to taste

Method

  1. Pour the sugar, honey, and water into a saucepan. Place on the stove, stirring continuously until completely dissolved, and leave to cool slightly.
  2. Finely chop the almonds using a mixer.
  3. Pour the chopped almonds and the now lukewarm syrup into a large bowl.
  4. Mix with a spoon until you obtain a workable paste.
  5. Transfer the paste to the work surface and continue kneading with the help of a handful of sifted powdered sugar. You should obtain a firm but workable dough.
