Brussels Sprouts 4 Ways

Garlic Parmesan Bacon Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
for 6 servings

2 lb brussels sprout, halved
8 strips bacon, chopped
2 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon pepper
⅓ cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
5 cloves garlic, minced
fresh chive, chopped, to serve

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
2. Cook bacon in a cast iron pan over medium heat. Once bacon fat coats the pan, add the Brussels sprouts, salt, pepper, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic. Stir until fully coated.
3. Cook until the bottom of the Brussel sprouts begin to brown on the bottom.
4. Transfer the cast iron pan to the oven and roast for 20 minutes, or until tender, flipping the brussel sprouts over every 5 minutes or so.
5. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over the Brussels sprouts, then place the pan back in the oven and bake for other 3 to 5 minutes.
6. Sprinkle with additional bacon and chives then serve.
7. Enjoy!

Honey Balsamic Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients
for 4 servings

1 ½ lb brussels sprout
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220ºC).
2. Slice the stem off of the Brussels sprouts and then halve them.
3. On a prepared baking sheet, combine Brussels sprouts and remaining ingredients. Mix evenly.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
5. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
6. Enjoy!


Bacon-wrapped Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
for 4 servings

12 bacon strips
12 brussels sprouts
maple syrup
black pepper, to taste

Preparation

1. Lay out stips of bacon on a clean cutting board or other clean flat surface.
2. Lightly brush each strip of bacon with maple syrup making sure to coat the entire surface of the meat.
3. Lightly sprinkle with black pepper.
4. Take a brussels sprouts and starting from the bottom, roll up each piece of bacon so that it evenly wraps the vegetable.
5. Lightly brush the tops of each wrapped brussels sprout with more maple syrup and sprinkle on additional pepper. Transfer the pieces to a baking sheet making sure to place each piece of rolled-up bacon with the seam side down.
6. Bake at 350˚F (180˚C) for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is done and thoroughly cooked.
7. Remove from baking tray and place on paper towels to remove excess bacon fat.
8. Enjoy!

Roasted Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
for 4 servings

1 lb brussels sprout, halved
4 tablespoons olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ cup bread crumb
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Preparation

1. Remove the stem from each sprout and cut in half. Place the brussels sprouts in a large bowl.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and toss to cover.
3. Spread the sprouts onto a baking sheet.
4. Bake in a 400˚F (200˚C) oven for 20 minutes.
5. Flip the sprouts, then bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the sprouts are fork-tender and golden.
