Cooking Couscous

Ingredients

Plain Couscous:

• 2 1/2 cups water (or chicken broth)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil (or butter)
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups couscous

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring water, salt, and olive oil to a boil over high heat.
  2. Stir in couscous and cover the saucepan with a lid.
  3. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.
  4. Fluff couscous with a fork and serve hot.
