Easy homemade pink marshmallows

INGREDIENTS

  • 30g gelatin
  • 120ml (1/2 cup) cold water
  • 250g (1 1/4 cup) sugar
  • 100ml (2/5 cup) water
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • Powdered sugar
  • Cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil

METHOD

  1. Mix the gelatin with water and let it set.
  2. Pour the sugar into a pot, add water, and lemon juice, mix, and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Add the hydrated gelatin to the pot, and mix until melted. Beat until thick (about 7 minutes).
  4. Grease a silicone mold and pour in half of the mixture.
  5. Add red food coloring to the other half, mix and pour on top of the white mixture. Wait until set.
  6. Mix powdered sugar with baking powder and sprinkle over the marshmallow. Cut into medium-sized pieces.
