Easy homemade pink marshmallows
INGREDIENTS
- 30g gelatin
- 120ml (1/2 cup) cold water
- 250g (1 1/4 cup) sugar
- 100ml (2/5 cup) water
- 20ml lemon juice
- Powdered sugar
- Cornstarch
- Vegetable oil
METHOD
- Mix the gelatin with water and let it set.
- Pour the sugar into a pot, add water, and lemon juice, mix, and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Add the hydrated gelatin to the pot, and mix until melted. Beat until thick (about 7 minutes).
- Grease a silicone mold and pour in half of the mixture.
- Add red food coloring to the other half, mix and pour on top of the white mixture. Wait until set.
- Mix powdered sugar with baking powder and sprinkle over the marshmallow. Cut into medium-sized pieces.
