Ingredients
5 Donuts

  • 30g Beaten egg
  • 35g Sugar
  • 20g Melted salted butter
  • 120g flour
  • 8g Non-Fat Dry Milk Powder
  • 3g Baking powder
  • Oil for frying

for coating:

  • Cinnamon sugar

Ingredients 5 scones

①Mix all ingredients to make dough.
If it is too dry to form into a dough, you can add a little bit of Milk.
②Shape it into a Square . Cut it in half, put one on the other, turn around, press it to flatten. Repeat this five times.
③Sandwich the dough between parchment paper and roll it out to a thickness of 0.4in.
④Use a 2.7in round cutter to cut out discs. Use a 1.2in round cutter to cut out center.
Re-roll the dough scraps and cut.
*Note: To create nice even cracks, make cuts on one side using a bamboo skewer or something similar.
⑤Heat Oil to about 160-170°C and deep-fry doughnuts until puffed and golden each side.
*Tips: When the dough is very soft, cut out the baking paper and fry the doughnuts with the paper. Remove the paper as soon as the doughnuts come off.
⑥Transfer the doughnuts to a tray lined with paper towel.
⑦Coat doughnuts with Sugar or mixture of Sugar and Cinnamon. Repeat with remaining doughnuts.
