Striped cookies


  • 2 eggs
  • 130g (1 cup) powdered sugar
  • 250g (1 cup) oil
  • 5g (1 tsp) vanilla sugar
  • 4g (2 tsp) lemon zest
  • 450g (3 cups) flour
  • 5g (1 tsp) baking powder
  • Sugar (for coating)


  1. In a bowl whisk eggs with powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Pour in oil and whisk well.
  3. Stir in vanilla sugar and lemon zest.
  4. Gradually add flour and baking powder and mix until you obtain a smooth dough.
  5. Divide the dough into 24 small balls, then roll each ball into a small cylinder shape.
  6. Coat one side of the shape in sugar. Press it on a side of the skimmer, to make stripes. Continue with the remaining pastry.
  7. Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment and bake for 10-12 minutes at 175°C / 350°F.
