Stewed Hamburg Steaks

We are making Stewed Hamburg Steak. The juicy hamburg steak is stewed in the sauce full of umami flavor. Enjoy it with plenty of sauce. Delicious!

* Time for chilling the onion is not included in cook time.

- Patties -

  • 250g Ground Beef and Pork (8.8 oz)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 140g Onion, chopped, for the patties and sauce * (4.9 oz)
  • 10g Butter, salted or unsalted (0.35 oz)
  • 15g Soft Panko (0.53 oz)
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 1 Egg, small-size
  • Black Pepper, coarsely ground

- Sauce -

  • Onion, chopped *
  • 1 Garlic Clove, chopped
  • 50g Button Mushrooms, 1 cm (0.4") thick slices (1.8 oz)
  • Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp Red Wine
  • 100g Packaged Boiled Tomato, chopped (3.5 oz)
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1/2 Bouillon Cube or consomme cube
  • 80-100ml Water (2.7 -3.4 fl oz)
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper, coarsely ground

- Toppings -

  • Pizza Cheese
  • Parsley Leaves, chopped

- Side Vegetables -

  • 8 strips Red Bell Pepper, 5 cm (2") length
  • 4 String Bean Pods, cut into 3 equal pieces
  • 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Water
