Ingredients:
For the Omelette:
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
For the Garlic Chilli Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the Garlic Chilli Sauce:
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, minced garlic, red chilli flakes, and sugar. Set aside.
- Make the Omelette:
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Pour the beaten eggs into the pan, swirling to ensure an even layer.
- Cook until the edges start to lift and the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until it's cooked through.
- Crisp it Up:
- Once the omelette is cooked, transfer it to a cutting board and cut it into bite-sized strips or squares.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add the garlic chilli sauce mixture prepared earlier.
- Combine:
- Add the omelette pieces to the sauce in the pan. Toss until the omelette pieces are coated in the sauce and heated through.
- Serve:
- Plate the crispy egg omelette with garlic chilli sauce and garnish with additional chilli flakes or chopped green onions if desired.
