Easy Hashbrown Casserole Recipe
This hashbrown casserole is a crowd-pleasing comfort food that is easy to prepare. It's perfect for potlucks, holiday gatherings, or any occasion where you want a satisfying and tasty dish. Here's an easy and delicious recipe for hashbrown casserole:
Ingredients:
- 1 (30-32 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional toppings: crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs, additional shredded cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, condensed cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, chopped onion, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
- If desired, sprinkle crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs over the top for added crunch. You can also sprinkle additional shredded cheese for extra cheesiness.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- After 45 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
- Once cooked, remove the hashbrown casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the hashbrown casserole as a side dish for breakfast, brunch, or any meal of your choice.
