Doritos Fried Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups Doritos (your favorite flavor), crushed into fine crumbs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Cooking Steps:
Step 1: Prepare Chicken Trim excess fat from chicken breasts and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Set aside.
Step 2: Crush Doritos Place Doritos in a sealed plastic bag and crush them into fine crumbs using a rolling pin or the back of a heavy pan. Set aside in a shallow bowl.
Step 3: Set Up Breading Station Create a breading station with three shallow bowls. One with all-purpose flour, another with beaten eggs, and the third with the crushed Doritos.
Step 4: Bread the Chicken Dip each chicken breast into the flour, coating it evenly. Shake off excess flour, then dip into the beaten eggs. Finally, coat the chicken with the crushed Doritos, pressing the crumbs onto the surface to adhere.
Step 5: Fry the Chicken In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place the breaded chicken breasts into the hot oil.
Step 6: Fry Until Golden Brown Fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Step 7: Drain and Rest Once fried, place the Doritos Fried Chicken on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Allow it to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Step 8: Serve and Enjoy Serve the Doritos Fried Chicken with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad for a delightful and crunchy meal.
Enjoy the bold crunch and flavor of Doritos combined with the juiciness of fried chicken. This recipe adds a fun twist to a classic dish, making it perfect for gatherings or whenever you want to add excitement to your dinner table.
