Cream Colour Full Cake Idea
Ingredients:
For the Cake Layers:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
Food Coloring (in various colors):
- Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple
For the Cream Frosting:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
For the Cake Layers:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
- Divide the batter evenly into six portions.
- Add food coloring to each portion to create a spectrum of colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
- Pour each colored batter into its own prepared cake pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
For the Cream Frosting:
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until it starts to thicken.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
Assembly:
- Once the cake layers are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate.
- Spread a layer of cream frosting over the first cake layer.
- Stack the remaining colored cake layers on top, spreading cream frosting between each layer.
- Frost the entire cake with the remaining cream frosting, covering it evenly.
- Optionally, decorate the Cream Colorful Cake with additional sprinkles or decorations.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
