Crispy Banana Chips:
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe bananas, thinly sliced
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Carefully add banana slices to the hot oil, ensuring they are not crowded.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy, then remove with a slotted spoon.
- Place the crispy banana chips on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Sprinkle with salt while still warm. Allow them to cool before serving.
Fried Rice:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken or tofu (optional)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Preparation:
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Push the onions and garlic to the side, pour beaten eggs into the pan, and scramble.
- Add mixed vegetables and shredded chicken or tofu. Stir-fry until vegetables are tender.
- Add cooked rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
