Shrimp Rose Pasta in 20 Mins
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces linguine or your favorite pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Steps:
Step 1: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Step 3: Season shrimp with salt and black pepper. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until they turn pink. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Step 4: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 5: Pour in vodka, allowing it to simmer for 1-2 minutes to cook off the alcohol.
Step 6: Stir in tomato sauce and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Step 7: Reduce the heat to low and add heavy cream. Mix well.
Step 8: Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and let them heat through in the sauce.
Step 9: Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the sauce and stir until melted.
Step 10: Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring it is well coated.
Step 11: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
