Ukrainian Sprats Salad «Mix»

Prepare a delicious and original salad with sprats, hard cheese, fried champignons and wheat crumbs. To make the pitch more effective, I recommend forming the salad in portions using a culinary ring. Salad will look beautiful in the crockery or wide glasses. To decorate the dish, you can use roasted slices of champignons, boiled quail eggs, cherry tomatoes, fresh herbs, cranberry or red currant berries. To save time, onions and fresh champignons can be fried in advance and stored in the fridge.

  • 1. Spread the “Mix” salad with layers. To do this, you can use a deep transparent salad bowl or serve the dish in portions with a help of culinary ring, as well as in small bowls or crocheted jacket.

    Thoroughly wash and hard-boil chicken eggs with the addition of salt. Then cool them down, clean from the husks and grate on a grater with large holes. Lay the grated boiled eggs as the first layer in the serving bowl. Add a little salt and put a mesh of mayonnaise.
  • 2. Open a can of canned goods. Take the sprats from the butter and cut them into small pieces or weave them with a fork. Lay the crushed sprats as the next layer. Top with some mayonnaise.
  • 3. Peel a large onion from the shell, wash it and cut it into a small cube.
  • 4. Periodically stirring, pass the onion until soft in a frying pan with refined sunflower oil.
  • 5. Cool passed onions down to room temperature and lay out on top of a layer of sprat. Top with a mesh of mayonnaise.
  • 6. Crush crumbs of wheat bread and put into the croutons as the next layer, grease with a small amount of sauce.
  • 7. Wash, clean and cut fresh champignons into cubes of medium size.
  • 8. Transfer the chopped mushrooms into a frying pan with a small amount of heated lean oil. Stirring, fry them until golden brown. At the end of the preparation, add mushrooms and season them with black pepper.
  • 9. Cool the fried mushrooms down to room temperature and put them in a salad bowl over the crackers. Lubricate with a small amount of mayonnaise.
  • 10. Crush hard cheese on a large grater. Put it as the last layer.
  • 11. Decorate finished salad "Mix" with slices of fried champignons and fresh herbs. Before serving, let the salad brew in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours so that it soaks.
