French Toast
This Easy French Toast recipe goes back to the basics with simple ingredients from your pantry. Your family will love this yummy breakfast staple.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Butter or cooking oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter or oil.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
- Place the coated bread slices on the hot skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides (usually 2-3 minutes per side).
- Repeat for each slice of bread, adding more butter or oil to the skillet as needed.
- Once done, transfer the French toast to a plate.
- Serve with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
