Today we cook juicy chicken fillet in fragrant onions batter. The simple, but original recipe of chicken with new taste is easy to make well. Thanks to batter meat turns out especially gentle and juicy, with an appetizing golden crust. At will it is possible to add a little grated hard cheese to onions batter, the fresh or dry crushed greenery. The chicken fillet made according to this recipe is remarkably combined with various side dishes from vegetables, grain, bean or pasta. It is possible in addition to serve spicy ketchup, mustard or plum sauce. By the way, in onion batter it is possible to make also fillet of white fish, it turns out not less tasty.

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet
    1 kg
  • Onion
    2 pcs
  • Egg
    2 pcs
  • Sour cream
    2 tbsp
  • Whole wheat flour
    3-4 tbsp
  • Lemon
    0.5 pcs
  • Vegetable oil
    100 ml
  • Seasoning for chicken
    0.5 tsp
  • Italian herb
    1 tsp
  • Salt
    - to taste
  • Black pepper
    - to taste



Steps

  • 1. Wash chicken fillet and dry from excess moisture with paper towels. Let's smooth out meat from fat and foams and cut each fillet lengthwise into two thin pieces. Then cut meat on portion pieces of approximately identical size.
  • 2. Let's connect salt, black ground pepper and chicken seasoning. Rub with the received mix meat pieces from both sides. Let's beat off chicken fillet with a culinary hammer so that it turns out gentler after frying.
  • 3. Water meat with a small amount of lemon juice and leave for 30 minutes so that it was marinating and became impregnated with aromas of spices.
  • 4. Meanwhile let’s make onions batter. Clean onions from a peel, cut into several parts and shift in a blender bowl. Crush vegetables in homogeneous dense gruel.
  • 5. In deep ware let’s combine onions gruel, fat sour cream and 2 eggs.
  • 6. Carefully mix, trying to obtain homogeneous consistence.
  • 7. Then add wheat flour, a small amount of salt and dried Italian herbs to batter. Let's carefully mix. As a result onions batter has to turn out rather dense and homogeneous.
  • 8. Lower pieces of marinated chicken fillet in onions batter so that meat completely became covered by it. Let's shift chicken fillet in batter to a frying pan with the warmed up vegetable oil.
  • 9. Fry chicken fillet in onions batter on medium fire to a golden crust from both sides.
  • 10. Lay out ready meat on the plate laid by paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • 11. Ready chicken fillet in onions batter let’s serve hot with a side dish from fresh vegetables or the baked potatoes.
