INGREDIENTS

250g (1 1/2 cups) semolina 250g ( 1 1/2 cups) flour 1 1/2 tbsp sugar 500ml (2 cups) milk 7g dry yeast Zest of 1 lemon Juice from 1 orange 1/3 tsp salt, Sugar

METHOD

  1. In a bowl mix together milk, sugar, and yeast, add in zest and juice, flour, and semolina.
  2. Let it rise for 2 hours. In the hot oil make the spirals from the dough and fry from both sides until golden brown.
  3. Cover with sugar.
