Fettucine Alfredo is one of the most staple pasta dishes out there and one of the ways to elevate this very common dish is to take a little time and make your very own scratch pasta. It really does take this standard recipe to another level of deliciousness that just cannot be replaced by store bought pasta. INGREDIENTS:
Pasta
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 5-6 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup water (add more if too dry)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 olive oil
Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- salt & black pepper to taste
- fresh lemon juice to finish
Garnish:
- fried capers
- torn basil and celery leaves
- grated parmesan
