Spicy Cucumber Chinese Style


  • 4 Persian Cucumber(Japanese cucumbers)
  • 1tsp Sea salt


  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Honey
  • 1tsp Chicken stock
  • 1/2 tbsp Chili bean sauce
  • 15g Ginger (shredded)


①Pound the cucumbers with a stick or similar object.

②Then tear them into bite-sized pieces by hand.

③Put them in a bag and add salt, mixing well.

④Place a weight on top and let sit for 30 minutes.

⑤Squeeze out the excess water from the cucumbers.

⑥In a bowl, mix all the seasoning ingredients.

⑦Add the cucumbers to the seasoning mixture and mix well.

⑧Transfer to a container like a Tupperware and store in the refrigerator.

It is delicious to eat immediately, but it is even better to chill in the refrigerator before eating.
