Sticky Lemon Garlic Tofu

Hey Foodies! Here's an awesome plant-based version of Chinese Lemon Chicken! A bite sized sticky tofu meat in savory, zingy, sweet and sticky sauce! Happy cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 400g regular tofu (freeze, thaw and press for 2-3 times)

Coating and Marinade:

  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp almond milk
  • pinch of lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Air Fry at 375F for 12-15 minutes, flip halfway

Sticky Lemon Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Garnish with fried garlic and spring onion.
