SOUTHSIDE FIZZ
The Southside Fizz is thought to have first been created at the Southside Sportsman's Club in Long Island, New York back in the 1890s. This style of drink, the Fizz, was at its peak popularity around this era.
INGREDIENTS
- 60mL Gin (2 oz)
- 22.5mL Fresh Lemon Juice (¾ oz)
- 22.5mL Simple Syrup (1:1) (¾ oz)
- 6-8 Mint Leaves
- Dash of Soda (Seltzer Water)
METHOD
1. Combine all the ingredients except soda to your cocktail shaker
2. Shake with ice
3. Strain into a high ball over fresh ice
4. Garnish with a mint sprig
