Chicken Alfredo is a classic Italian-American dish that consists of tender chicken pieces and fettuccine pasta tossed in a creamy Parmesan sauce. Here's a recipe to make Chicken Alfredo:
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces (225 grams) fettuccine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until they are browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer over medium heat.
- Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the sauce and toss well to coat the pasta evenly.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and gently stir it into the pasta and sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and garnish the Chicken Alfredo with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve the Chicken Alfredo immediately while it's still hot.
