Crispy Special Pizza Aloo Roll
Ingredients
For Potato Filling:
- 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup bell peppers (red and green), finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
For Pizza Aloo Roll:
- Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Pizza sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Olive oil for brushing
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Steps
For Potato Filling: Step 1: In a pan, heat oil. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Step 2: Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
Step 3: Stir in diced tomatoes, chopped bell peppers, and green chilies. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
Step 4: Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Step 5: Fold in the boiled and mashed potatoes, ensuring the spices are evenly distributed.
Step 6: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and set aside.
For Pizza Aloo Roll: Step 7: Preheat your oven according to the pizza dough instructions.
Step 8: Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle.
Step 9: Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a border around the edges.
Step 10: Place the prepared potato filling evenly over the sauce.
Step 11: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the potato filling.
Step 12: Carefully roll the dough into a log, ensuring a tight seal.
Step 13: Place the roll on a baking sheet, seam side down.
Step 14: Brush the roll with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
Step 15: Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown.
Step 16: Slice the Pizza Aloo Roll into rounds and serve warm.
