Classic Jalapeno Smash Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 to 2 Pounds 80/20 Beef
Pickled sliced Jalapeños (JAR Jalapeño)
- 1 White Onion, sliced
- Colby Jack Cheese, slices
- Hamburger Buns
- Butter, unsalted
- Creole Seasoning, to Taste
BBQ SAUCE
- Directions
•Form hamburgers meat into balls. - Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
- Melt butter on skillet and toast buns and set aside when toasted.
- Thinly slice one onion and sauté with butter along with pickled jalapeño peppers, set aside.
- Melt small bits of butter in skillet. Place meat balls into skillet, Using a spatula or burger press, smash the patties and hold for a few seconds to get a nice crust on the bottom side. Season with Creole Seasoning. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Flip patties and add cheese. Cook until cheese is melted. Add patties to buttom buns, top burgers with onions, and jalapeño slices...add bbq sauce and enjoy!
