Creamiest Creamed Corn

Creamiest Creamed Corn is so quick and easy, it is ready in 30 minutes or less! This delicious side dish pairs well with just about everything! Bring this to your next holiday dinner or summer BBQ!

Ingredients

β€’ 2 tablespoons butter
β€’ 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
β€’ 20 ounces frozen corn, thawed
β€’ 1 cup heavy cream
β€’ ΒΌ cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
β€’ 1 tablespoon sugar
β€’ 1 teaspoon salt
β€’ 1 teaspoon black pepper
β€’ 1 teaspoon garlic powder
β€’ 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter and sprinkle in flour. Cook flour until it turns a more golden color. Make sure to stir often, about 5 minutes
  2. Once browned, turn heat down to medium-low and add in milk. Stir until the sauce is smooth and well combined.
  3. Add corn into the sauce mixture along with heavy cream, parmesan cheese, sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir and simmer over medium heat for an additional 8-10 minutes.
  4. Serve hot.
