Lemon Pepper Wet Chicken Wings

Lemon pepper wet chicken wings are a delicious and tangy twist on traditional chicken wings. The "wet" aspect refers to the sauce that coats the wings, providing a flavorful and zesty experience. Here's a recipe to make lemon pepper wet chicken wings:
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (about 1 kg) chicken wings
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade and toss them until they are well coated. Allow the wings to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or you can refrigerate them for a few hours or overnight to enhance the flavor.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer.
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. You can flip them halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
- While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and set aside.
- Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl.
- Pour the melted butter over the wings and toss them gently to coat them in the buttery sauce.
- Garnish the wings with freshly chopped parsley for added freshness and presentation.
- Serve the lemon pepper wet chicken wings immediately as an appetizer or as part of a meal. They pair well with a side of ranch dressing or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for an extra burst of flavor.
Enjoy your tangy and flavorful lemon pepper wet chicken wings!
